Red Hat System Administration II (RH134) is the second course in the RHCSA training track and builds on the knowledge gained in Red Hat System Administration I (RH124). This course is designed for IT professionals who want to deepen their Linux system administration skills and move toward operating as a full-time Linux administrator in an enterprise environment.

Throughout the course, you will work with more advanced administrative tasks such as installing and deploying Red Hat Enterprise Linux at scale, managing storage with logical volumes and file systems, and securing systems using SELinux and firewall configuration. You will also learn how to control and troubleshoot the boot process, schedule recurring system and user tasks, analyze system logs, tune system performance, and automate command-line tasks using shell scripting.

In addition, the course introduces container management with Podman and working with image-based Red Hat Enterprise Linux, enabling you to manage modern Linux environments more efficiently. By developing these skills, you will be able to improve system reliability, optimize system and storage utilization, and respond more quickly and accurately to system issues.

This course assumes prior completion of Red Hat System Administration I (RH124) and prepares you for further certification or advanced Linux administration roles. The course is based on Red Hat® Enterprise Linux® 10.0. Do you want to get certified after this course? Then take the corresponding exam: Red Hat Certified System Administrator (RHCSA) exam (EX200).
