In the course Red Hat Enterprise Linux Automation with Ansible (AU294) you learn how to automate Linux system administration tasks using Ansible. The course focuses on replacing manual, repetitive, and error-prone work with reliable automation for system provisioning, configuration, application deployment, and orchestration.
During the course, you will learn how to set up Ansible development tools in VS Code, create and manage inventories of Linux hosts, and write Ansible Playbooks to automate day-to-day administration tasks. You will work with variables, task control, and file deployment, protect sensitive data using Ansible Vault, and structure automation code so it can be reused and scaled using Ansible Roles and Content Collections. By applying automation-first principles, you will build workflows that are consistent, repeatable, and ready for integration with DevOps and CI/CD practices.
The skills you gain help organizations improve operational efficiency, scale their infrastructure more easily, and accelerate application delivery, while reducing errors caused by manual processes. This course is based on Red Hat® Enterprise Linux® 10, Ansible Core 2.16, and Ansible development tools aligned with Red Hat Ansible Automation Platform 2.5 and 2.6.
