Is your CDCP certification close to expiring or already expired less than six months ago? With the CDCP Recertification course at Vijfhart, you can easily renew your certification and stay recognized as an expert in designing, managing, and optimizing data centers. During this two-day training, you refresh your knowledge of infrastructure and processes and prepare once again for the official CDCP exam. The course was developed by EPI, the global authority on data center services such as audits, certifications, and consulting. In the Netherlands, these programs are exclusively available via Vijfhart.

Throughout the training, the key elements of data center infrastructure are reviewed. You revisit how to identify different types of data centers and assess their role in business continuity. The course also takes a closer look at standards and compliance requirements, as well as criteria for site selection, construction, and supporting facilities. Other topics include power distribution and redundancy, UPS systems, microgrids, and batteries. Important areas such as load management, grounding, raised floors, and airflow optimization are covered again to keep your knowledge aligned with the latest best practices.

Lighting and emergency lighting, EMF shielding, fire safety, and access control are also discussed. The course explores modern cooling solutions like AI-driven cooling, liquid cooling, and containment, and explains how Seasonal Thermal Energy Storage (STER) can improve energy efficiency. In the field of network design, you work with TIA-942 topologies and redundancy solutions. Finally, you learn how to use monitoring systems such as BMS, DCIM, EMS, water leak detection, and alarm panels to identify and resolve issues before they impact operations.

Through hands-on exercises, you apply this refreshed knowledge directly in practice. You work on scenarios such as designing redundant power systems, optimizing airflow with raised floors, implementing fire suppression systems, and setting up physical security layers. This helps you stay skilled in managing existing data centers while developing the insight needed to prepare for future technological developments.

Certification

On the final day, you take the official CDCP exam from EXIN once more. Upon passing, your Certified Data Center Professional status is officially renewed. The updated certification is valid for three years. If you’re taking the course online or cannot attend the final day, you receive an exam voucher to complete the test online at a later time. Exam costs are included in the course fee.
