BPM, BPMN en BPMS in de Praktijk

BPM staat voor "Business Process Management". BPM automatiseert en stroomlijnt de verschillende processen die het kloppende hart vormen van de onderneming. Van het verwerken van een online order, tot het goedkeuren van een hypotheek levert BPM een onafhankelijke proceslaag die controleert hoe mensen en technologie met elkaar samenwerken.
Tijdens deze cursus wordt de architectuur besproken van applicaties die het mogelijk maken BPM grotendeels te automatiseren. Zo′n Business Process Management Systemen (BPMS) bieden de mogelijkheid om het uitvoeren, analyseren en optimizeren van end-to-end business processen centraal te beheren.
Verder zal ook BPMN worden gebruikt. Business Process Modeling Notation geeft aan organisaties de kracht om procedures op een begrijpbare en standaard manier mee te delen. Deze grafische voorstellingen vergemakkelijken het communiceren en het begrijpen van samenwerkingsverbanden en de bedrijfstransacties tussen de verschillende organisaties. Hierdoor verwerven ondernemingen en hun medewerkers een beter inzicht in hun kernactiviteiten en biedt het een mogelijkheid om zich snel aan te passen aan nieuwe interne en B2B omstandigheden.
